BM-2 Notes

Notes are the name of the pitches. Here is the order of the notes.

Higher the pitch ->

C   D    E – F    G    A    B – C

<- Lower the pitch

Between E-F and B-C are half steps. The rest are whole steps (1 whole step = 2 half steps).

Accidentals

  • #(Sharp) – To raise a note half step
  • b(Flat) – To lower a note half step

Using the accidentals, we can write out the other half notes.

C – C#(Db) – D – D#(Eb) – E – F – F#(Gb) – G – G#(Ab) – A – A#(Bb) – B – C

Technically C# and Db are the same note. But in classical music, they are different.
