AG-3 How to tune your guitar

You need to know the string numbers and their notes.

1st string is the thinnest string and 6th string is the thickest. Here are the notes when you play the open string (no frets).

1st string – E(High)
2nd string – B
3rd string – G
4th string – D
5th string – A
6th string – E(Low)

Plug in (clip on) your tuner. Play each open string. Check to see if each string has the right notes. If the needle (indicator) is in the middle it means it is tuned.

If the needle (indicator) is on the left, this means the note is lower. Raise the note.

If the needle (indicator) is on the right, this means the note is higher. Lower the note.

TIP: Never tune your guitar lowering the note. Always tune from lower note then up. this way the string is wounded tight and does not have any slack so it may go out of tune.
